Facilities
We have created a beautiful nursery which is home from home and equipped to the highest standard. Children can also explore and play in our large, enclosed garden. The garden provides a wonderful space to explore nature.

Practitioners
Senior practitioners are fully qualified NNEB Nursery Nurses with each having over 18 years experience in childcare. Our Nursery Nurses are also fully qualified.
The entire nursery team hold First Aid Certificates and have cleared Health and Enhanced CRB checks. All our staff attend a minimum of 2 training courses a year to continually update their personal development.

Curriculum
Our Early Year’s Foundation Stage curriculum will prepare your child for the smooth transition into a formal school environment. Children develop at different rates, so we offer an open, friendly and positive environment where your child can happily progress at their own pace. Carefully designed practical activities and games will help your child to develop independence and stimulate their imagination. Your child’s creativity will be explored through cooking, painting, collage, modelling, music and movement.

As an I CAN accredited nursery who also deliver the Every Child A Talker (ECAT) programme we support all children's communication, language and literacy. All our practitioners attend I CAN training using fun methods to encourage your child's confidence with their language, which we develop through music, books, writing and role play.

The Areas of Development and Learning comprise:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Communication, language and literacy development
  • Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Physical development; and· Creative development
Security and Protection
The security of your child is paramount to us. We have security measures in place including a controlled entry system operating exclusively by staff. This ensures your child is protected at all times. To provide a consistently safe environment, our nursery team receive regular training, supervision and updates on Health & Safety requirements.
We have a comprehensive Child Protection policy in place within the nursery. All staff have child protection training and comply to the nursery policy.

Settling in
We offer ‘settling in’ sessions where you can stay until your child feels secure and confident to be left in their new environment. We understand that you may be anxious, especially if you are leaving your child for the first time in the nursery. The sessions are an invaluable opportunity for you to feel comfortable and reassured as your child is left for longer periods of time on each visit. This is a gradual process as every child is different and so the transition varies.

Parents and Carers
We value an open and friendly relationship with you by having an open door policy to give you ample opportunity to discuss your child’s progress. All parent’s views are valued and respected and we work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop.

The Role of the Key Person
A Key person will be assigned to your child. Their role is vital to meeting your child’s individual needs.
The Key person will be:

· Dedicated to encouraging and supporting your child’s skills
· Responsible for maintaining your child’s record of development
· Available to discuss your child’s day with you.
· Working in partnership with you
